Just got back from Jamaica and was told on a catamaran cruise that I did not look like a grandma by a young lady that couldn't have been over 25:):)26

A couple of years ago, I gave my ID to the 20-something woman at the grocery store check-out, and she was visibly startled. "You're, like, as old as my MOM!" It was really funny.

NSV..instead of eating sugar when I was tired, I ate a balanced meal. Another one is, instead of looking at the gym and dreading having to workout, I just do it and feel so much better.15

Today, I REALLY wanted a Mars bar. No idea why as I haven't eaten any for ages, and due to a medication I'm taking I'm supposed to avoid chocolate anyway.
We had some fun-size Mars bars in the house. I decided to have one. I got it out of the cupboard. I was just about to unwrap it when I had second thoughts and put it back in the cupboard.
I don't know why I put it back. I really wanted it and had calories available. Maybe the thought of two small mouthfuls didn't seem worth it. Dunno. Glad that I didn't eat it though (props halo back up)36 -
My friend gave me 3 pairs of walking trousers abou 28 months ago, none fit. In March one pair fit, they are now too big. The other 2 : I couldn't get past my knees, then last March couldn't get them over my hips, in August I could do them up but they were snug, all over, so I didn't wear them. I tried them on last week and not only do they fit but they're loose, and I need a belt28

I just looked in the mirror and under my chin wasn't swollen..there were actual lines. I couldn't believe it. I have been so swollen for so long, I just had to smile.19

I have a pair of bluetooth earbuds I wear under my chin. They were getting tangled up in all the layers I wear running and I figured I'd probably lost a little double chin and they could use adjustment. I adjusted them three times until they were as short as they would get. I've apparently lost a lot of double chin.22

I just realized that a normal sized bath towel will wrap all the way around me now! Wouldn't come close b4!34

A young guy (same age as my adult son) stopped by the office to say hi. I hadn't seen him in about three years. He looked at me and said "I would never have recognized you! You're so much narrower!". It made my day plus made me laugh30

I just got a "You've lost a lot of weight haven't you?" "You look good".22

In the last week - people I don't see regularly at work have done a double take when seeing me. It gave me the confidence I needed to not slow down.23

My family and I went to see my dad and stepmom as we hadn't seen them since August 2016 at my brother's wedding. My stepmom and I were talking when all of a sudden she's like, "Are you losing weight?! Cuz you look like you've lost weight! You have to be losing weight!" Made my whole day!26

I've been participating in a weight loss program through work, too, and today my coach asked if I would be willing to meet with the program administrators to provide my feedback on the program since I have been so successful since starting (MFP and the work program) in September.
I have PLENTY of feedback for them. They do have a food and exercise logging system, but we're only required to log our weight each week and attend a weekly web session. I only log in MFP because while I am dedicated, I am not double logging everything!
Anyway, my NSV is that I'm an INSPIRATION.34 -
I ran and ran and ran and ran today (well, for 12 minutes, with breaks). A month ago I didn't think I'd ever run at all. It gets easier every time. I think maybe c25k is do-able for me. Wow! 5k sounds impossible . . . just like 12 minutes did.24

The other day hubby told me he was scrolling through some pics on his phone at work and he came across a recent pic of me. His workmate looked at it and asked him who's that she's pretty29

There was a new person in our fitness class who was struggling to keep up. I had been getting discouraged as progress has been slow the last couple months. But was reminded how it was when I first started last May and decided once again I can do this. also was able to do alternating rows in a plank position that I have really struggled with. Not perfectly and not very fast but could do them.13

My sister-in-law, 13 year old, and I walked a 5K yesterday. It was the farthest SIL has walked. The NSV for me was the wonderful feeling of paying it forward to two ladies I love so much. SIL decided she wants to do one every month now and I could not be prouder. Being told that I inspired them means more than any other victory I've had, whether on the scale or not. Wearing a women's race shirt that did not have an "X" in front of it anywhere was a pretty neat feeling too.26

I thought jogging for more than 90 seconds was impossible once upon a time. Now I run at least 5k 3 times a week....stick at it you will get there I promise14 -

Second this. I got up to a 18 minute jog before starting the C25K. Now on week 3.
Which is also my NSV. Sunday I did a 7K snowshoe and I still managed to do week 3 day 1 of the C25K on Monday. Wife was surprised I was able to.9 -
I've always felt too big, even when I was a healthy weight. All the other girls were all willowy and soft, and I was always so tall and solid. It still bothers me, and I'm 46. Never felt comfortable in my skin. Never felt feminine. But today, I was at the gym, and I was working out hard. I was strong and acted like it. I felt like my body was doing what it was supposed to do; that my strength was a gift, not a curse. For once, I didn't feel self-conscious next to the tiny little things jogging on the treadmills. I felt powerful and, frankly, totally sexy. And I think it showed. I caught more than one guy checking me out. I haven't seen that look in a while from anyone but my husband, but I sure recognized it.53
