Alright friends, recently I've noticed I'm not losing, nor have I gained anything.. I have changed my diet completely, watch my portions, drink way more water, cut out sweets and junk.. I was actually thinking about water fasting? Yay or nay? And if you've done it, before and afters? Advice? Anything would be helpful at this point.. I'm quite frustrated

Nope just stick to watching your calorie intake... Weight loss isn't a constant thing. Your body adjusts.

    Break out the flowchart! lol

In all seriousness, lots more information is needed before anyone can really help answer your questions. How long have you been at a standstill? How tight is your logging? Weighing everything solid on a scale?

    No to water fast.

How long has it been since you lost weight?

You might look into 5:2 fasting. The idea is that you eat maintenance calories 5 days a week, and fast for 24 hours with a 500 calorie fast break on two days a week. It still comes down to CICO, but it may help you create/adhere to a deficit.

People will be able to offer reasonable advice if you provide more information:

    1) What is your daily calorie intake?

    2) What is your age, height and weight?

    3) Are you logging accurately, weighing all solids with a food scale and measuring all liquids with measuring cups/spoons?

    4) How long have you been trying to lose weight?

    5) How long have you been at a standstill?

    6) How often do you weigh yourself?

    7) Have you also started an exercise program?

    8) If so, what is it and how long have you been doing it?

    9) Do you take any medications and/or have any medical issues?

    10) Are you accounting for swings in weight due to hormonal issues (period, etc.)?

Water fast - No. Bad idea for a lot of reasons.

How long have you been doing this? It doesn't sound like very long. If it's less than 3 weeks or so, you need to give it more time.

Of all the things you say you're doing I don't see you mentioning weighing & logging your food or tracking calories.

It really is that simple and honestly all you have to do is stay within your calorie goal and you will lose weight.

Eating better and cutting out sweets is great but it sounds like you're eating at maintenance calories if you're not seeing weight loss.

    Caloric deficit = weight loss
    Caloric surplus = weight gain
maintenance calories = stay the same weight

That's all there is to it.

I've been on this journey since last year. My intake is about 1200, or less. I've been logging on here for a few monthes now & I have another app that helps count sugar and salt intakes as well. I'm not really sure what's with some of the negativity, but alrighty then. I've been at a standstill for a few weeks.

Well, the good news is, if it's only been a couple of weeks, it's more than likely just your body readjusting. Weight loss is not linear, so you are not likely to see a drop on the scale like clockwork each week.
In addition, the questions Anvilhead had, I encourage you to answer, so we can provide more insight into what's going on. We're not trying to pick on you, just trying to get all of the info. :)

This. No negativity whatsoever. Here's a tip: every time you read a post on the internet, read it without emotion (or use a funny characters voice while reading). To many times someone creates drama where there shouldn't be. It is very hard to derive emotion from text.

Are you using a food scale, OP? If yes, then stop eating under 1200 calories (which is quite unhealthy to eat under 1200). Also, give it more time.

You aren't losing because you're either getting close to that time of the month or are eating your maintenance calories (if not using a food scale, it is very easy to eat more than you actually are)

Sorry for assuming you don't track- if you re read your original post you will see why. 99% of the time when someone posts saying they watch portions and cut out bad foods but are not losing weight... and do not mention their calorie limit or tracking calories... it ends up they are not tracking calories.

Also most people that do myfitnesspal for a while usually know fasting only leads to unnecessarily starving the body, loss of muscle, mostly water weight loss, and rapid regain of any weight lost once the fast is finished
