so i'm curious what your height/weight and most dependable dress size is. i just read a blog about someone who weighs almost 50lbs less than me, but is in the same dress size, so it got me thinking, "wow, i wonder what kind of variation i will find if i ask."

so here i am, asking. ;)

    I'm 230. 5'7"... 12-16 dress size, and 14-16 pants :) Long way to go, but I'm pretty tall and proportionate.

    It all depends on your body composition. Muscle weighs more than fat but takes up less volume... so someone that is 150 lbs with 18% body fat would generally be a smaller size than someone else who is the same height and same weight but has like 27% body fat...

    I am 5'4" weigh 202 lbs and wear a size 16 really comfortably and can fit in some 14's....it is amazing the size difference but it all depends on the brand too becasue last night I was able to "squeeze" a size 11/12 from Aeropostale....which i thought ran small. Interesting to see the answers....

    I'm 148 "ish", 5'6" and a size 8 leaning toward a 10 (Canadian sizes). I can JUST squeeze into one pair of size 28 jeans (my goal jeans!) but prob a 30 for most pants......

    I'm 5'1,and weigh 205 and just bought a size 12 dress,my sister weighs about 180 5'2 and is the same size,so thought that was weird too,but she has a bigger butt,and I'm big in the hips,so it'll be different for sure..

    I'm 5'5", 180, 14/16 pants, but I'd say I'm pretty disproportionate. All of my weight's in my hips and stomach.

    I am 5'7", weigh 180 and wear sizes 12-16 (dresses 12-14, tops 12-16, bottoms 14-16). Last time I was a size 10 I was 117 pounds and appeared to have an adams apple (too skinny)!

    I don't wear dresses, so can't help much, but I'm

    5'3"
    130 lbs
    Pants: size 6-8

    Keep in mind that height, body composition (fat vs. muscle) and frame size are all going to be factors in what dress size two different people wear who are the same weight.

    I'm 5'6", 153 lbs. Wear a dress size 4/6, or pants size 6/8. Only reason my dress size is that small is because I'm ridiculously hourglass shaped... 36/27/38

    I am 167lbs and wear(UK) size 14 pants and 16 on top.

    I think sometimes it also depends on your body shape. I am `apple` while some people are `pear` etc.

    from hips down I am very happy with my shape...but from hips up I am top heavy. Even when I was lighter in weight I still have to buy a bigger size top ;-(
