Issues with Garmin connect calorie adjustment and MFP calories.

I am a runner and track my calories burned using my Garmin and HRM, however I continue to have "Garmin" make a calorie adjustment based on my "steps" recorded. This is fine on a day where I walk more at work or other non-workout activity, but as of late, it keeps on calculating my steps recorded during a run and adding these calories.
As an example, last night I ran 10 miles and recorded a 1196 calories burned (which is normal and semi accurate)... then Garmin "sees" that I did 21,490 steps and adds another 1079 calories to MFP... It should not use the "steps" during a workout as these calories are already accounted for?
Does anyone know how I can turn this feature off from Garmin or set it so it works correctly?

I just discovered this myself. I deleted the adjustment because most of what I did today was an activity that it already gave me calories for. Have you figured this out yet?0
