What are some kitchen items that you cannot live without?

For me it's......

1) My rice cooker- I cook a big pot of brown rice at the beginning of the week and put it in the fridge so all I have to do is scoop it out with the measuring cup and reheat

2) My George Foreman Grill- this thing can cook a chicken breast in less than 5 minutes, and it actually tastes good!

my halogen convection oven - cost about £27 quid, cooks food quicker, healthier and just better lol. Plus you can watch it cooking properly. I hardly ever use my actual oven anymore. Wouldnt be without it.

Food scale!! To tell you how bad... Batteries went dead in it one night when tornado warnings were out all over the place. I still went out to get the batteries for it! It's a HUGE necessity!! :)

I know this isn't actually in my kitchen, but my grill!!! I will throw anything on the grill during any kind of weather. Yes I have been caught grilling in the middle of a blizzard! Oh yeah, and my coffee maker!

I have several items that I can't live without:

1.) Produce Saver bowls from Rubbermaid. I should get a commission from them! They help keep my fruits & vegy's fresh for so much longer!! I waste very little these days!

2.) Food Saver vacuum packer. I've had mine since the first info-mercial! I thought I was going to have to replace it, but nope, working like a dream again! I have heard the "store" variety's aren't as good, which makes me sad. Mines gotta easily be 20 yrs old!

3.) Black & Decker grill. Geo Foreman style. Love Love Love this thing! Just started using it, and wonder what I did before! Chicken, hamburger, sweet taters... YUM!! Pluys the griddles come out, so it's easier to clean then George's! :-)

4.) Scale. A must-have. Thinking of upgrading to digital, but that might make me even more anal then I already am! ha ha ha

Is this like the Nu-Wave cooker we have in the States?? Been thinking about one of those. Are they a pain to clean??

My toaster oven. It's 12,000 degrees outside and I don't want to run my oven to broil my salmon - so I use the toaster oven!
