    Comedy

This gave me an idea for what I should've done...pick 3 movies for each genre. Damn. Anyways lol.

    Step Brothers
    Anchorman
    A Fish Called Wanda

Those are my top for comedy.

    Mine would be:
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
    Raising Arizona
    Young Frankenstein,

Haven't seen your first two but I love Young Frankenstein I was waiting to see if someone was going to put it on their list lol

I put Young Frankenstein up above in the thread, along with "Hobson's Choice" and "All About Eve". I admit I was dithering between YF and the 1967 "Producers".

Echo with Monty Python and Raisin Arizona ("Turn to the Right!" is a family favorite quote).

King Arthur: I am your king.
Woman: Well, I didn't vote for you.
King Arthur: You don't vote for kings.
Woman: Well how'd you become king then?
    [Angelic music plays... ]
King Arthur: The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. THAT is why I am your king.
Dennis: [interrupting] Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

What's also funny, Zaina, is that all the characters, male and female (not including extras), are played by the same 5 male actors.

Lmao that's funny. Wow I can't wait to watch it! :)

Til There was You is a total chick flick, but i just love it. It's impossible to find it to buy on DVD, but I think Netflix has it on DVD, not streaming. Oh, and Singles is awesome. Great cast!

Some folks aren't fans of Woody Allen and I understand. However, this film is darn near perfect (imho). It is so beautifully filmed, it's actually quite stunning. The story line is fun and the acting and pacing of the film are solid. It is one of my favorites. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and check it out.

It's now 50 years old but still one of the best westerns made. Great sound track. "The Ecstasy of Gold" has been used in a lot of commercials over the past year. The movie is being shown a lot on cable right now.

Error in the poster... Tuco never wears a gun belt in the movie.
