Best late night dinner choices

I do Tae Kwon Do two nights a week until 8:30, no choice, that's just when it's offered. By the time I get home and can prepare dinner it's 9 and I go to bed an hour and a half later. I can't eat before class or I feel sick during class, and I can't skip eating because I'm starved after such a tough workout.

Any suggestions on what's best? I'm pretty sure carbs are a no no that late? Salad just doesn't fill me enough after the workout.

Eat whatever you want that fits your calories. Unless you have certain foods that make you sick before sleeping.. anything is fair game.

Nothing wrong with carbs at night... They may help you sleep better.

    Eat what you like!

Balance is always key. Best to eat carbs earlier in the day. Have a protein shake with a banana. 6 ounces of protein (chicken, fish, lean meat) and 2 cups of stir fried vegetables. That should fill you up.

When I have to work out late I bring a PB&J or something for the ride home and call it a day.

Thank you everyone for the quick helpful replies. Every night after class I have this huge struggle, eat or don't eat, will I ruin all the good work I just did at karate? I will use your suggestions!
