Lifting for Beginners?

Right now, I'm kind of like a blobfish; squishy and sad-looking. But I don't want to be like that. I wanna get beefy. I have no idea where to start with my arms. They're like wet noodles. I can't even do a nerd push-up. Where should I start to build arm strength and endurance?
I have some dumbbells and access to a gym 2 days a week for 45 minutes.

Great workout. You can start small and work your way up. Gym not required.2 -
My arms were wet noodles a few months ago, but I can see definition even when not flexed now. Can do about 7 push ups, working on pull up progression. I've never done a pull up in my life!
I started w dumbbells. Dumbbell bench press, rows, overhead press, kickbacks. As far as arm work goes1 -
Don't neglect the rest of your body!_dracarys_ wrote: »
If you have gym access twice a week, you can do Stronglifts on the two day schedule and just expect slower progress.
