Unloaded barbell weight

Does anyone know the weight of a standard barbell in U.K. gyms? Unloaded, not Olympic. I would say it's 5' long.

    I think the shorter ones are about 15kg, the 6' ones 20kg.

    Most of the barbells in my gym are the 6' ones so I would consider that the 'standard'

    Usually 20kg though in my gym there are also some chrome ones that are apparently 15kg

    The 7ft olympic men's bar is 20kg.

    The shorter 5ft bars tend to run around 25lbs if they accept the olympic plates while the standard bars are even lighter at 5ft long they may only weigh 5 to 10lbs.

    Sounds right. Standard bar is 20kg 35lb. "Ladies bar" is 25 lb.

    A 5', non-oly bar definitely does not weigh 20kg/45lbs. Those are around 15lbs. Unless you got the dimensions or terminology wrong?

    My 6' standard (meaning 1") bar is 15 lbs. My 7' standard bar is 19 lbs. 5' is 12 lbs. My standard EZ Bar is 5 lbs.
