I have Canadian mapple syrup... not sure of the purity? The calories are awsome to know though... i will weigh my recipe out.... it make six at half a cup of batter.

well most likely it is pure... the grade b is darker and has a more maple flavor, grade A light amber is for tourists!... i live in upstate ny and there are lots of producers of maple syrup in my area. i could make my own and have in the past but it is a PITA tapping trees, collecting sap, and boiling it down.

maple syrup is 152 calories per 56g

I bought a waffle maker over the holidays and have made one almost everyday since! I haven't experimented with any other recipes yet because I love this one so much:

To my homemade waffle mix I will add:

    - 1/2 scoop of pea protein (it's flavorless, colorless and 12 grams of protein!)
    - A cap full of clear vanilla flavoring
    - Appx 1/4 cup of frozen blueberries
    - A dash of cinnamon (sometimes)
    - Fresh blueberries on top of the cooked waffle when I have them on hand

It's so amazing! When I'm feeling fancy I will make some homemade blueberry syrup too! I can't wait to have this for lunch! :)

The secret to great waffles is to pour the batter into paper cups to the amount of one waffle & let them sit for 5 or so minutes. The air rises out, making much nicer waffles. Then just pour a cup into the iron & go. (Plus, you could weigh the cups.)

Did someone say waffles? Just butter and maple syrup for me, not into anything else on my waffles like fruit toppings, peanut butter or nutella (I actually hate nutella), etc..

I also need a side of bacon with that.

So I made the waffles yummo :)
When adding it to my recipes, I put down the total weight of the batter 614 grams, so I said 3 serves.
When I go to add it to my diary it asks how many serves? Am I right in listing the number of serves as 1 and 1 serve which is 503calories.

Mashed strawberries (no sugar added) are good. Mash 'em the night before, so they'll be good to go.
