    I knew what you meant. My husband makes the best elk jerky and has expanded his expertise to summer sausage and smoked salmon. These are my hiking and skiing snacks along with my home dried pineapple and custom trail mix.

    Perky Turkey Jerky (original). Love this stuff and it's a great way to get more protein into my diet once in awhile.

    I was pretty impressed by the Perky Jerky which is turkey. It was incredibly tender and though it was just original flavor, it was very flavorful with black pepper, which I like.
