Best Fiber Suppliment?

Watching my vitals and minerals had me noticing that my fiber intake more often than not was on the low side. So when I needed a boost to meet the recommended amount, I'd take the Vitafusion fiber gummies. Originally, I chose these in particular because of all the options I had available at the time, they had the best fiber payout per serving (5g/2 gummies). But honestly, they're just too sweet! I'd rather just have fiber in pill form, if possible. Anyone know of some good ones?

Oh please do let me know too. I was eating quest bars for their fiber content, but it really messes up my stomach.

What about more fibrous foods? Or are you looking for more fiber in addition to that?

I get my fiber through foods such as chia seeds (mm.. love the crunch!), ground flax seeds, higher fiber bread, fruits, nuts, veggies, oatmeal that sort of thing. I buy a bread that has 6g of fiber in each slice and might add a nut butter to that and chia seeds on top. Or do the same thing with a tuna sandwich plus add raw sunflower seeds. That's a nice bit of fiber so I haven't needed to buy any OTC fiber supplements.

I prefer fiber from food, but some people take psyllium husk capsules. You can get whole psyllium husk powder as well, and mix it into things to boost insoluble fiber intake. For soluble fibers, acacia fiber is a great option. It mixes well, doesn't clump that bad, and is more gentle on the GI tract than psyllium. NOW and Garden of Life both make good varieties of it.I

Oh, and some of the things from Fiber One can be pretty yummy! I like their original cereal myself, but lots of members here are fans of their brownies and bars.

More fiber in addition. There are days where I'm way over just on food, but on a weekly average I tend to fall a bit short. Nothing huge, but I do like to have my protein, calcium and fiber maxed out on the recommended amounts. I take a calcium suppliment, as I have issues with dairy, and I take both at the end of the day in proportion to how much I've gotten from my diet.

Please tell me what bread that is though! It sounds amazing!!

I do too, I just really like to meet the recommended 25g. If at the end of the day, I'm at 22g, I like to have just that little bit to top it off when I take the rest of my vitamins/medications. Nothing to crazy. Thanks for the suggestions though! I'll look into those.

Why not just chug some ON Fitness fiber or even citrucel or something like that?
