I want to start lifting weights.

I don't if I should loose some weight first, and then start lifting. Or can I start lifting and lose weight? I'm confused

Start lifting now and work on dialing in your nutrition as you go. Find a good program that involves a progression of weight, reps or both. I suggest a 5x5 lifting program or forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=4195843 for building a good base. Take into consideration your physical abilities or limitations and the availability of equipment when choosing a program. Starting Strength is a great website for info and form videos too.
