I was sooooo craving cheesecake ice cream from cold stone but I ate a serving of chocolate chip from my freezer instead :)

Cheeeesecaaaake is my Achille's Diet Heel  I LOVE Cheesecake!!! I can't let myself have one bite...not a taste or the whole pie will be gone. Good job resisting! Save it for a really special occasion!

i really like this thread. i said "no" to a flour tortilla at q'doba (i opted for the naked instead). i said no to the entire thing of chips and queso. i poured myself a small bowl of chips and a smaller serving of the queso-- then, i threw the rest away. all in all i would have been better off not ordering the queso and chips. but, i am pleased that i didn't eat the entire thing like i would have in the past.

Thanks! I love love the responds! This is only my day 2, but ever since I started I can make a long list of things I said "No!" to and wondered if others shared similar experience.....I don't feel so alone anymore lol
By the way, great job on your "No!" Chips and queso....yummy!

It's a 45 minute drive to the nearest coldstone over here so it's much easier to say no to it lol.....But my vice from there would be Founder's Favorite with a banana! I don't know if I could've said "No!" if I was in the store smelling the ice cream and yummy goodness aroma.....I would be frantically trying to calculate how long I have to do a cardio to be able to eat a Love it size!

Wow...I wish I was a 45 minute drive to any place that sold awesome cheesecake, I'm within 2 minutes of probably 5 stores that sell it! I would be calculating the calories too! and then I'd just say oh well! I'll just work out extra time for cardio tomorrow! *sighs* :ohwell:

I said no to a sausage roll croissant someone brought into the office from a donut shop. (they are delcious by the way!)

I said no to a Hardees bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit a sales guy brought in to work. 530 calories! Yikes! No thank you!

I said no to a piece of birthday ice cream cake (from dairy queen) at work as well.

I said no to a can of pepsi or a can of mountain dew that was being handed out after lunch at work.

Good grief! When I look back on it I am quite proud of myself. Pat on the back!!! Its ridiculous how much naughty free food is available at work or that someone is trying to share.

Yes! high five! You definitely had a lot of obstacle courses today lol hhhmmmmm ice cream cake....yum lol

SUPER SUPER JOB EVEYONE!!!! I realized even though I've managed to almost empty my kitchen of not so good for you foods....there are still plenty of obstacle courses out there that we just have to really put our foot down and say "No!"

What I love that I read from your responds so far is that you guys found an alternate and better things to indulge on rather than just completely going without. Sometimes to me saying "No!" completely or to everything will seem like a punishment. What has been working out for me so far is when I want to indulge...it better be something I can burn out...that way at the end of the day it's a win win...I'm not over my calorie goal and I got to eat my Coldstone Founder's Favorite scrumptious yum! lol:laugh:

Keep it going everyone! You all motivate me! Thank you!

I'm saying no to the cake a coworker brought in for another coworker's birthday...but I DID say yes to a chocolate covered donut from the grocery store bakery this morning. And you know what? It was FABULOUS.

ETA: There are SO many entries for "chocolate frosted cake donut" in the database! A bit hard to be accurate here, but I think I'll be okay.

I'm currently sitting in the student union at my school and smelling Wendy's fries. Oh they smell so good.

But I do not need them! Especially when I'm about to go to the rec.

I never say NO to any food. But yes to eat in moderation and yes to not overeating and yes to stop eating, when I start getting full.

LOL!!! Jesus, bless the Skinny Cow Creators!!! If it wasn't for them I'd totally miss out on ice cream!!

I feel EXACTLY the same way. I save a few calories almost every day, so I can have one. It just would not feel like summer for me, without ice cream.

Homemade stromboli last night for DH's birthday. I said NO to having a 2nd piece. Crunched on carrots and celery instead and had a glass of red wine.

This morning I said NO to a half-bar of chocolate when the kids were stressing me out big-time. Instead, I finished DS1's leftover lunch (grilled ckn breast & green beans) and I'm reaching for Whey Protein & OJ before my workout.

Ultimately................I said NO to those foods, and I said NO to bigger thighs !!!!!
