How often?

How often do you exercise? And how many rest days do you have? Last year I'd work out at least 4-5 times a week with 2-3 rest days and this year I'm making it a solid 6 days working out 1 rest even if I make myself do just cardio if I'm too tired to lift.

I work out every day. The lightest thing I'd do as rest is probably a long/brisk outdoor walk but that's infrequent, maybe once a month or more.

Almost every day. I take a rest day when life happens or my body says I need one, and I'm usually pretty good at working around "life". Granted not all of my workouts are very intense, and I don't count active recovery as a workout, although sometimes I think I should as I am still doing something fitness related, even if it's mobility, stretching and recovery.

Listen to your body. Ensure your caloric intake is sufficient or it could be causing your body to tear it's self down more. I usually do 6 on 1 off but have had days where I was just worn down and I did an active rest day, walk Vs run. Stretching and moderate calisthenics Vs lifting.

I walk everyday, so there is no rest day for me. The speed and distance will alter though depending on what was done the day before. I do some resistance training at home every second day

I lift 3-4x per week, yoga once a week (which I guess can be considered active rest ), then just walking or nothing the rest of the days. I need my days off from lifting to recover. But it will depend on my programming and intensity as well as my goals.

On the PHUL program I'm doing Wed, Sat and Sun are supposed to be rest days. But I can't force myself to rest that much. So Wed usually ends up being an active rest light cardio day, Sat is a heavy cardio day and Sunday is a true rest day for me.

Six. Three days of my preferred sport and three of cross-training. The seventh day might see some stretching, but that's it.

I try to do something every day, sometimes 2 x daily but......I'm also training for a triathlon and really need to spend time in the pool. (The run & bike stuff is easy compared to swimming.....I should have stuck with duathlons, there's no drowning involved)

Depends on what I'm training for, but I try to do something 5-6 days a week, even if it's just some stretching and mobility work.

Run 6 days a week, strength/core/stability 2-3 days a week, yoga daily. But I run marathons and ultramarathons.

I work out 5 days a week. I rest Fridays and Sundays. I tried doing 6 but I couldn't maintain it.

Counting the MET 2 exercise of standing at a desk for a few hours each day, I exercise 6 days a week. Less often I include a cardio exercise above MET 3. Even less often, I do some pathetic lifting.

It depends on where I'm at with a particular training protocol. At the moment I'm cycling 4x per week and lifting 3x per week. Mileage will increase in the Spring when I start training for a 1/2 century in May, time trial series in the summer, and a century in September and then will dial things back again.

This amounts to 6 days per week, but what I'm doing changes with my training seasons and protocols for various events...once I really get into season, I'll be riding pretty much 6 days per week and lifting 2x per week at the most.

I'm at 5 days a week this year. For the first six to eight months back in early 2015 I did 7 days a week. That was a bad idea. I ended up injured. After that I dropped to 6 days a week up until around the holidays of 2016 and now I've dropped to 5 days a week. There are rare occasions I will drop to 4 days a week but I try to keep it at 5 days a week 90 minute workouts. Eventually though, likely at the end of 2017, I may drop it back to 4 days a week and once that equalizes I may keep it that way permanently.

Six days with a rest also.

I walk 2-3 miles 7 days a week (big dog), run 5 days a week (currently training for a marathon), do cross training one day a week (exercise bike, hike or dvd of some sort), and rest on one day (aside from the walk.)
