What are you meal plans for Valentine's day? Are you going out or having a nice meal at home or is it just another day?

We're just going out for lunch to our favorite Italian place. We'll make the calories fit by having a lighter dinner.2

Just another day. I only celebrate fun holidays like Halloween or Easter and Christmas.. or ren fest3

My husband treat me to a Subway- note they are free today in the UK
We don't do Valentines as it is our anniversary in a few days time.3 -
Being forever single, it's another day6

I may or may not treat myself to a free donut from Tim hortons. My partner and I are doing long distance while I'm at school so it's never a big thing but I'll see him Saturday so we'll see then. I did go out with a friend one year and we went for dinner and male strippers. It was a hilarious galentine's day.5

My hubs and I gave each other a gift. I've been receiving food like crazy from my thoughtful students, which I share with my own children and my colleagues.3

I told my BF to stop and get him something to eat before he gets to my house. I don't eat dinner during the week (use my calories during the day at work and have a small snack at night) and I'm not making any exceptions.1 -
No plans... my mom's staying over anyway and my kids have activities so it's not gonna happen.
I got some chocolate and piggied it out though.1 -
It's really just another day to me.
That being said, this is first Valentine's Day in over 8 years that my Male SO, sister wife and I have off together, so we are actually going out to dinner. As for gifts and candy- no candy here, but we both woke up to roses in our bedrooms.3 -
We did cards and my husband is taking our 2 year old and I out to dinner. Already deciding my choices so I am not veered off when I get there. lol!2
-
My husband and I are going to Ruth Chris for dinner. I will try to get a nice walk in before we go so I have some extra calories I can use tonight. Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!3

We stayed home because of the blizzard. I'm eating my giant chocolate bar. For lunch, I made a heart-shaped pizza with my first, from scratch pizza crust.8
-
Cooking a special dinner: spinach salad with hot bacon dressing, lemon and garlic scallops, mushroom risotto, and chocolate lava cakes.
I've got today pre-logged and it fits. I need to exercise to get some beer/wine calories.4 -
We normally have dinner at home. I usually cook steak and lobster tail or something special that the husband likes. However, this year we are going out to a favorite brew pub that is doing a Valentine's Prix-fixe. We just discovered a chef that we really liked from a long time ago is now the cook/chef at the brew pub! (We had noticed the dessert offerings at the pub were really incredible lately but didn't know why.)
Happy Valentine's Day! Even if you don't have an SO, you can still spread love around to those you care about!3 -
My boyfriend is grilling steak and we are having potato skins and ceasar salad with it. I also got a box of chocolates which I might get a couple of if I don't let the kids see them4
-
I'm baking some salmon and roasting some green beans and mushrooms...my usual Tuesday or Thursday menu item.
We don't really celebrate it...it's just another day. We haven't gone out for valentines day since about the first year or two we were dating...so a good 15 years ago. We always disliked the experience of eating in a restaurant that is packed to the gills...having to wait even though we have reservations...and sub par food even at otherwise good restaurants because they're having to meet a huge demand.
We have a date night scheduled for Saturday and we're going to a nice steak house and leaving the kids with Grandma overnight.7 -
My husband and I usually cook something together on valentine's Day. Nothing fancy, just something we both like. It's just fun spending the time together preparing the meal and drinking wine, then sitting down to eat it.
However, tonight we will be dropping the dog off at the kennel and driving to South Carolina for the week, so dinner will likely be Chipotle on the road.0 -
Coffee for breakfast, chicken salad for lunch, and whatever he makes me for dinner. My boss did give me a cupcake too, so I ate that.1
-
It's Tuesday, so strength training at the gym with the honey then swing dancing (live band tonight for Valentine's Day, which means I'll have to exercise some self-control if I get near the snack table that is there on live band nights).1
-
No special plans, but we picked up some ribeye steaks that were on sale last night at Whole Foods. DH mentioned grilling them up for dinner, and we'll probably just have some steamed veggies and a glass of wine to go with.
Just another day to us. Although I did send him an eCard that said, "I want to grow old and disgusting with you." It's about as romantic as we get.1 -
My boyfriend and I are going out to Mexican. It's my favorite so I plan to enjoy. I've pre-logged it already and I'll be at around maintenance today.2
-
Staying home with our kid. We are having homemade red beans & rice with Andouille assuage. I made a raspberry pistachio semifreddo for dessert4
-
Single, so no Valentine's for me. I'm still in celebration mode since yesterday (my birthday), so it's not just another day. It's a day full of foods I really love.2
-
-
I'm married and it's still just another day...2
-
We are doing dinner at home, we much prefer spending quality time at home to spending a lot of money somewhere else. I'm making Surf and Turf (steak and shrimp) with sauteed green beans and baked potatoes. Everything can be weighed or measured and I know exactly how many calories there are!3
-
I normally cook dinner for V-Day, but for Christmas we got a hefty gift card to Firebird's so we have a reservation there tonight. Will have steaks and some wine.1
-
I'm single. No special Valentine's Day dinner or anything lol2
-
I'm making some of my hubby's favorites for dinner--pasta with homemade pesto and roasted broccoli and cauliflower. Trader Joe's lava cakes for dessert--yum!
We've got a nicer bottle of wine and some cheese for after the kids go to bed.
I'm attempting to make it all fit within maintenance calories--but I need to get in a little extra walking!1
