Had anyone tried the new Weight Watchers smart points with MFP?

I did WW about 8 years ago and what I liked then vs now they don't give fruit points. And that is a lot of sugar.

I know, seems odd that fruit is zero points. But, it's complex carbs . I've been using WW SP for one year. I eat LOTS of fruit. I have shed 65 pounds and reached goal 2 weeks ago. Fruit is free, eat as much as you like.

    Here's a recent thread.......

Points do not equate to calories anymore. If this way of eating helps you get to goal, and more importantly if this way of eating helps you STAY at goal....then it's a good fit.

Past programs vs. current program.......not so much in common anymore.

Sorry but that's bad advice. Point free doesn't mean calorie free and calories are what it really boils down to. Fruit can be very calorific.

OP, I haven't done weight watchers for a long time but I hear the new points system is very anti sugar/carb.

Im doing ww just now for a month to see how I get on as I plateued for months. I stilll track on here too just needed something new to shift my last 14lbs. Im eating less, my 30 smartpoints often is only 1100 cals, iv lost the 7lbs that I gained at xmas. I am definitely making better food choices as bad foods tend to be so high in points so it does make u eat better. Its not really so much about which diet is better because I lost 50lbs with mfp but I just needed something new to get my motivation back and its worked. Once I get to goal I will maintain using mfp though.
