Do you need to avoid sodium for a medical reason?

I season mine mainly with chilli powder and chilli flakes. Garlic butter on them is also lovely.
  • Add garlic, onions, lemon juice, dried or fresh herbs to add some flavor to your veggies. Plain, steamed veggies make me feel sorry for myself...

I use salt in many recipes (no medical issues) but lemon juice & lemon peel can sometimes be a good substitute. It doesn't work for potatoes, but yummy in green beans, broccoli, and cauliflower.

I like spice "blends." Weber's Veggie Grill seasoning is great on oven fries. I like garlic pepper and lemon pepper. Mrs. Dash makes low sodium blends but I haven't tried those.

Mrs. Dash has some really good options. Really like the original or the Sweet Southern BBQ table blend.
