Not Eating Enough Most Days (Temporarily)-What should I eat?

Hi everyone,

I've had some lack of appetite/motivation to eat for a few weeks ( due to heartbreak) and have only gotten in about 750-1000 calories a day. With a couple of spikes from from eating dessert it's gone up to about 1250 a few times.

Any suggestions about what I could be eating that doesn't require much preparation to maintain the little muscle I have at this point? Also trying to feed 11 year old. Out of ideas...

    I'm sorry you're down right now.

    Peanut butter sandwiches.
    Peanut butter on a bagel.
    Peanut butter on apples.
    Prettty much anything with peanut butter will get you a great calorie bomb, just add it on to the food you're already eating and you should be okay.

    If your mood does not improve soon, you should definitely see your doctor.

    ice cream :) that will get you calories and soothe the soul :)

    If you want "healthier" Ice cream... I can highly recommend Halo Top ;)

    As a mom, I consider, "What should I do to nourish my own kid?" Because I don't want my own kid to suffer because of my sadness. I can be sad and still be a mother. And that means making a decent meal for my kid.

    And if I make a decent meal for my kiddo, I'm certainly not going to make a separate one for myself. So that ends up taking care of myself, too.
