Not quite new but inactive up until now

Hey all. I've had an account on myfitness pal for 7 years and have kept a food diary on it occasionally but have rarely ventured into the forums so I am essentially new here.
I'm 34, 6ft 0in, weigh 329 lbs. I've been struggling with my weight since I've been a kid and have always been overweight. I've tried every weight loss plan going but can never stick to anything. I'm hoping by using these forums that I can get some support and in return support other people. :)
If anyone want's to add me as a friend, feel free.
My plan is simple, calorie count using the app, go to the gym 3 times a week and take lots of progress pics and measurements to help motivate myself.
First goal is a wedding in 3 weeks time so I hope to lose 7 lbs before then. Wish me luck!
