Hi everyone!!

I'm very new to this, but I need a change in lifestyle! After spending years eating myself into a mess! It's now time to sort myself out!

I've joined a 24/7 gym, I've emptied my cupboards!

Any tips or advise would be very much appreciated!

Amber

Welcome to MFP, I sent you a FR hope you don't mind, the best advice I can give you is to plan ahead, if you plan your meals and your snacks for the next day then you are more likely to stick to it.

The first 2 weeks are the hardest, you will feel the most hungry, you will be grumpy and it will be hard, if you can get through that and build in a routine you will do just great.

OP you can do this, you will be fine. Log everything that you eat and drink. Stay with it and don't
Be impatient. Good luck lookforward to sharing the journey

I have about the same amount to lose (5'2" - CW 277lbs - GW - ~135lbs). Patience is key.

Some people can't handle so many changes at once, so you may need to ease yourself into this change. I started with cutting back food (but not logging) for a week, then added daily gym for a week, then added tracking on MFP, then added weight lifting, then actually weighting my food. It worked for me to slowly add something new each week.

Start with small goals, break your weight loss in pieces, like each ST, or going to the gym for 5/7 days a week or logging everything. It isn't hard but it isn't always easy.

    Best of Luck!

Thank you guys!! To be honest with you I've been on diets before, but I feel like I can have more control with counting calories, especially with going to the gym!

It doesn't help I work in fast food!!

Prelog your meals with anything you want, hit your calorie goal, eat and enjoy. Exercise if you want to.
