How do I weigh myself so I do not miss a week. I have to be accountable each & every week. The year started so positively losing 4lbs then after 2 months have not lost since. I eat 2140 calories every day. Its to early to be negative.

I think the best way to weight yourself is to weigh yourself everyday first thing in the morning at least for a few months. Wake up, go to the bathroom, weigh yourself. What is most important is trend, not an individual weigh-in.

Secondly, if you're not losing weight at 2140 calories a day, you simply need to increase your calorie burn with exercise, or lower your calorie intake. Remember, it takes a calorie deficit of 3500 calories to lose a pound. If you want to lose 2lbs per week, you'll need to have a calorie deficit of 7000 calories per week or 1000 per day. 1lb a week is 500 calories per day. So, you'll need to increase your activity or reduce consumption accordingly and the weight WILL come off.

How to deal with daily fluctuations. I am thinking about weighing myself after working out.How about the weekends where my schedule is a little bit all over the place.

My recommendation to everyone is to weigh once a week, first thing in the morning, after using the bathroom, and atleast 48 hours after exercise or drinking alcohol or eating a high-sodium meal.

This will give you a solid baseline without having to worry about water weight and daily fluctuations.

Personally, I like to weigh daily, first thing in the morning before showering. I don't like weighing weekly because that weigh in day may be a day where I've ate a salty dinner the day before or whatever, so I'll be up a bit and I'll have missed my loss in the middle of the week and that just makes me feel bad and demotivated. Weighing everyday allows me to know my body a bit better and I don't freak out if I gain because I'll be weighing in the next day and it'll likely just be water weight. So long as the general trend is down I'm happy.
