1 week and no weight lose, I'm getting concerned.

I'm not sure if this can be considered a PLATEAU, but, I have 1 week that I don't get to lose weight. I have been eating right and working out very hard. I'm hoping I'm still making progress, and I'm hoping the muscles that I'm building are heavier than the fat that I'm losing. From this point on I'll try to measure the fat percentage as well. Any advice to avoid getting stuck? If you want to know more information to give advice please let me know

1 whole week?! Did you gain all the weight in a week?16

If you are stuck for 4 weeks or longer you may have an issue. But not one week.4

One week is not a plateau. Weight loss is not a linear process. You'll have some weeks where you lose a lot and others where you lose very little or none at all. You need to track your weight loss over time (ie - from one month to the next), rather than comparing weigh-ins on a daily or even weekly basis.
As long as your food logging is accurate and you're not overestimating your exercise calories, there's no need to change course just yet. My advice to you would be to stick to your plan and reassess your progress in another 4-6 weeks.3 -
One week is way to soon to start panicking. There will be weeks you lose, weeks you don't and maybe even weeks you gain. Look at the big picture.2

one week? really? sorry to break it to you but you haven't put on any "heavier than fat" muscles in a week....2

Even if one did gain any appreciable muscle in a week, without an excess of calories, you're not going to get heavier on the scale.
It's a week, as others have said, chill. This is a long and at times frustrating process. Settle in. Get comfy. Monitor progress over months not weeks.2 -
You don't "plateau" on your first week!
If you were eating less than you burned, you lost fat last week.
If you just started exercising "very hard" you are retaining water, which is why the scale doesn't show the change. Besides, one week's progress is pretty hard to see on a scale anyways.
Be patient and stick to your plan.2 -

Have patience grasshopper. You didn't gain it in a week so it won't come off any faster. Make sure you are eating at reasonable deficit. Depending on how far you are from a healthy weight this your MFP calorie goal should be set to 0.5-2 pounds a week with most people at 1 pound a week. Weigh everything you eat on a digital scale and log everything you consume with correct entries (i.e. no homemade or generic). No you haven't gained muscle in a week. Gaining muscle would come from a calorie surplus. Weight training will help you reduce your weight and body fat so keep lifting.1 -
Is this week 1 or just 1 week stay the same ?
I lost 71lbs in 2012 I had 3-4 weeks sts and was 100% sadly it happens for many reasons
Not weighing measuring everything .
Water retention .
Building muscle they weigh the same but muscle takes less room so you look slimmer but can weigh the same .
Toilet issues
Illness can make you retain water
You can sts as the week before you had a lax week in plan
Medication
Large fat loss your fat cells fill with water and retain it plus water fills muscle cells to repair them these are flushes out drinking water = woosh

Hello again!
OMG! I never expected getting so much help and support from so many of you guys! Thanks a lot! All of you guy's advice is really good! I really appreciate it! Now I feel a lot better (and a little bit silly haha!).
I started this year (2017) my weight loss journey. So far I've lost 33.06lbs and the weight loss has been consistent, so that's why I got a little bit concerned this week. But you guys have made me feel a lot better. I will definitely keep pushing! If you want to follow my journey you can follow me on instagram "alejandroenforma".
Thank you again guys for taking the time and help me!5 -
@alejandrocd85 if you 've lost 33 lbs, that changes things a little. Have you recalculated your calorie requirements? If not, you need to do that.1

Sometimes I wouldn't lose for weeks then all of a sudden drop 4lbs. 1 week is nothing! Be patient!2

1 week and you're worrying...... ah you may as well just give up seriously though, the gain didn't happen overnight so why should it go quick. This can be a slow process, have patience, track your calories as accurately as possible, move a bit more and slowly but surely you WILL lose.
All the best.1 -

^^^This. That's a lot lost (congrats!!) and resetting if probably a good idea.1 -
I'm happy to report that I've lost 2.86lbs since I made this post so it was just a matter of time and patience as most of you guys said! Now I'm tracking my calories more strictly so I can be more conscious of what I'm eating. That's like the only change that I've made, ah, and eating more calories haha!2

^^This. Reset your goals every 10 lbs or so. But congrats on the loss so far.0 -
Excellent, thanks for the happy news!1

Weight fluctuates quite a bit from day to day or even hour to hour! You could be retaining water from eating something salty, you could be a bit constipated....if it continues for another week after your rapid weight loss I would consider that you may need to eat fewer calories - your body mass has decreased so therefore you need less energy to power it.1
-
definitely need to give it more time. I've plateaued for several weeks before, just keep logging all your food and moving more and it will happen.1
