I swear it is like this monster in my closet.
The NSV - now I recognize it.
Now I just have to work on recognizing it before it rears its ugly head not after - lol.
This is a huge step...and once you recognize it you can figure out what else you need to do to cope!8 -

Yeah, duck foreplay consists of "brace yourself..."
Almost - there were two drakes attending to one duck (or hen may be the preferred term) and a lot of head bobbing going on by the drakes (which I'd never seen before) the female turned her back on both of them and was duly jumped on by one drake, much to the disgust (or disappointment?) of the other. The poor female didn't stand a chance.
So glad I'm not a duck . . . .
ducks are one of the few animals besides humans that will commit gang rape...2 -
My NSV is a bit vain but when I looked up briefly when I was at the bench press machine, my ribs were slightly higher than my stomach when I was laying down. That was an incredible feeling20

On Tuesday I ran a full 5K with two zombie chases thrown in and wasn't even tired. So, today I started a 5 to 10K program. This is a big NSV for me because I thought running just the 5K was so hard and took so long for me to do, the idea of 10K wasn't even an option. I thought, oh, 5K at my snail pace is awesome for an obese person, maybe when I lose more, I'll try longer runs. Nope. I completed W1D1 on my old challenging 10K walking route. I ran all my intervals including some grueling hills.
I also got another cheerleader today! A guy driving a big rig tapped his horn as he drove by and gave me a rather excited two thumbs up. All the positive attention from strangers on the street has certainly been encouraging, even if the sight of a truck driver with zero hands on the wheel is a bit unnerving.44 -
My son and I donated blood today. Beforehand, the tech took my blood pressure and iron levels. Both were perfect!29

today I didn't want to go to the gym. I was running late and it wasn't the class I thought it was going to be. However, its whooped my *kitten* and I felt so pleased I had made it after all20

I can comfortably wear pants that I couldn't even get on five weeks ago!18

My smaller scrubs are actually accentuating my now smaller body. My fiancé pointed out that I have an hourglass figure again (yay!) And also, possibly TMI, he pointed out that I have lost my second butt cheek!23

Can't remember if I posted it here, but I am the weight (well, slightly under but haven't had official weigh-in day yet) listed on my drivers license!25

This. Love it- can't wait to be there myself!8 -
Past couple of days, I kept having to pull up my britches. Then it hit me. I notched one over on my belt, and everything is stable now.16

At my heaviest I was getting tight in a 22. This morning I slipped into a size 16 jeans for the first time in a I can't even remember how long!29

I have the day off so yay! I'm meeting up with a friend and instead of going for some type of high calorie coffee and a muffin, we're going for a cross country ski. I truly love my life right now and feel like I'm in my 20's again (I'm 55 LOL). This friend is one that I've known for several years but only become closer since starting this weight loss journey. Every social encounter with my best friend from my previous life involved too much food and too much alcohol. There are lots of posts on here about "toxic" friends but the reality is that sometimes, for your own health, you just have to make new friends that encourage your efforts24

The fact that I've walked on my treadmill four days this week since Monday. That's a record for me because in the past I would usually do every other day at most.17

Bruh. Y'all aren't gonna believe me when I tell you ... I have successfully HALTED a binge. In. Its. Tracks.
You see, I've been preparing for this day. I KNEW that once I lost my first 5 pounds, I would want to binge. I also KNEW that if I did binge, it would take WEEKS to get back on track. So I had a big breakfast and held on for as long as possible.
As for how I stopped my binge, it wasn't too original: I just ate. 16 grapes and a pack of gummies. The sugar and the little treat will hold me until lunch. Then I can refuel and ride things out until track practice. Once I get to track, I will be working out so I won't be hungry43 -
I was able to apply nail polish to my toes by simply sitting and easily bending over to apply two coats on each side! I did not die or stop breathing due to my stomach being in the way29
