Is losing 30lbs in 6 months a healthy goal?

I've lost 30lbs in the past three months. I started at 172 and my goal is 112. I'm 142 right now, and I'm not setting a time limit, I don't care if it takes 6 months or a year. I'm just trying to get an idea of how long this could take. I have something in August that I'd like to be at my goal weight for, but it doesn't matter if I'm not exactly there yet. I'm 5'1" by the way so I'm still around 10lbs overweight at the moment.

im 148 at 5 ft 3 right now and still steadily losing at 1.3-1.5 pounds a week. Im very commited to my logging and i do walk ALOT. So in theory i could and your lower height makes us very roughly around the same bmi. Itd all depend on your commitment and activity level and how much your eating.

However i wouldnt suggest it. Aim for 20. 1 pound a week for 6 months is 24 pounds. Thats the higher end of a healthy loss for someone around our bmi. Any more or less is fine aslong as your keeping it up its progress :p

1-2lbs a week is a good safe healthy loss aim
for that along the way you'll get sts lower and higher losses probably a random gain

Well done on your hard work

Generally, this is the guideline to aim for:

If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal

I'm confused because you say you're 10 lbs overweight yet you also mention 142 as your CW and 112 as your goal weight, which is a difference of 30 pounds.

If you have 10 pounds to lose, set your weekly weight loss goal to a half pound per week.

If you have 30 pounds to lose, set your weekly weight loss goal to a pound per week.

You should maybe go by a tape measure rather than scales I was 167 last year and a uk size 12 US size 10 scales aren't a liner

At a higher starting weight I'd say sure, but you will probably struggle with the last 10. I'm down 34 in 8 months but I was set to half a pound a week and lost on average three quarters a week, but now, last 5lbs? Oh brother. This is gonna take a minute. I'm 5'5, 138.1 today, trying to get to 135 and it's become glacial by comparison.

It's more than a pound a week, so it's aggressive. Half a pound a week might be more realistic at your weight.
