I'm getting so frustrated! Anyone else deal with hip issues when running? Hip flexor problems. How long should I rest it? Walking has been fine, running hurts and affects my range of motion.

How's range of motion when hip hinging?
How's range of motion with the ankle both dorsiflexion and plantar flexion?
Are you running correctly?
Do you have proper foot wear?
Are you recovering correctly?
How's sleep quality?0 -

See a physiotherapist, rather than taking random advice here.

I would also suggest seeing a physical therapist. It could be anything. It could be that your hip muscles could be ultra tight or one could be weaker than the other or could be something else causing a problem with your hips. I never knew this could happen until I went to a physical therapist.0

With running I always suggest finding a good orthapedic surgeon before u start getting serious0

Yes. I've been to them all. Physiotherapist, osteopath, chiro, naturopath.... just seems to be one thing after another....0

Do you do Myrtl exercises? Did your PT give you any exercises to do? If you have an imbalance, you need to address it consistently so that you aren't constantly having problems.
I had a series of injuries when I started running, first a pelvic stress fracture, then osteitis pubis, then a hamstring injury. After going to a PT and getting some exercises that loosened up my hip area, I stopped having problems. I've done 3 marathons without injury.2 -
I was having hip pain (inner hip flexor) and sore toes - weird right? It was getting worse and worse no matter how much stretching I was doing.
I track my mileage and added it up. Turns out my shoes were worn out. Over 400 miles. I went to the running store and got a new pair and my pain is gone. It took a few weeks for the pain to go away, but I'm running pain free again.
It may not be as simple for you, but maybe try out new shoes. Maybe a different brand or model would help?

In that case, you're not going to get anything meaningful here.0 -
it sounds like you aren't giving your body enough time to recover from an injury - I screwed up my hip in 2015 - overdid training for a half ironman - I didn't run for close to 5 months; and most of my workouts were in the pool (I decided to train for a 5k OWS instead)0
