I'm having the same problem not knowing to eat my extra calories or just let them sit there and just use my allotted calories. What do you all think?

My Fitness Pal is known to overestimate calorie burns so most people recommend you eat back between 50-75% of them.

If you're doing a significant amount of exercise you should eat back some of it, myfitnesspal calorie goals are too low if you ignore exercise.

Treadmills and most devices are way over estimated they tell us too many calories
HRM heart rate monitors are abit better
Don't eat back more than half what anything is telling you you burned off

Set your mfp calories at sedentary and then eat 1/2 exercise calories

It's easy to eat calories that's how we came here most of us for eating too many
Have a snack a glass of milk fruit toast an egg

Don't start off depriving your body otherwise it will become a cycle of yoyoing in off your plan

I don't eat back any, unless I am bulking. Personal preference entirely, imo.

So you are knowingly inflating your deficit beyond the rate of loss you have chosen.

Excessive deficits are not a good idea.
