    I do love coffee but i mean in the food logs. Some things have hearts in front of them. I don't know what the heart denotes.

    You mean in the database? It means the person who entered the food item loves coffee so much that they made it part of the name. Doesn't have any sort of 'official' MFP meaning at all.

    Maybe it's one of their favorite items, so by typing the heart in, they can pull up their favorites quickly. Just a guess..
