How do you eat according to your workout days? Example what foods are better to eat for cardio days and what foods are better for strength training and your rest days. Trying to plan accordingly plus get some good ideas for more meal options.

It really is very personal.
On my cardio days I eat a lot more carbs as I rungry . My husband however eats more the following day, his appetite drops on cardio days.
As long as we hit our protein and fat goals the rest really comes down to choice. Play around with your macros to find what works for you.1 -
I go higher calorie/carb (2600/320g) on my lifting days, and lower calorie/carb (2200/13g) on my cardio days. And I a maintain at 3k.1

No... I just eat a variety of things. But I suspect I am at a very different level than you as well. I am already fairly lean and strong. At this point, I am cutting to get abs (~5% or so more body fat) and I have been doing this for years. Personally, being new, I would concentrate on calories and maybe protein/fiber. That latter increase satiety which makes the journey easier. One you are comfortable with that, then you can add additional strategies to enhance your goals.2 -
Here's an article that may help depending on what your fitness goals are. I tend to eat more carbs the day before cardio/running to help build up glycogen before running.

It's actually a fairly poor article. If you want recomp, the below thread is much better. But I also wouldn't recommend recomp unless you are fairly lean.
