Turkey Bacon BLT Sandwiches
Makes 1 sandwich
Ingredients
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
4 strips all natural, uncured turkey bacon
2 teaspoons butter, or to taste
2 slices whole grain bread, lightly toasted
4 spinach leaves
2 to 3 slices tomato
Method
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add bacon and cook until crisp, turning once. Meanwhile, butter both slices of bread. Layer bacon, spinach, and tomatoes onto one slice of the bread. Top with the remaining slice of bread and serve.

Per Serving (128g-wt.): 270 calories (140 from fat), 15g total fat, 2.5g saturated fat, 4g dietary fiber, 6g protein, 27g carbohydrate, 10mg cholesterol, 370mg sodium

I'd substitute the turkey bacon with piggy bacon though.
Kinda defeats the purpose, huh? :laugh:0 -

I saw Oprah the other day and they said that between Turkey Bacon and real Bacon that real Bacon is better for you? Apparently Turkey bacon has way more sodium and chemically products. I had no idea!0

Eat the real bacon. I saw a show on the history channel about how they make turkey bacon ... it was probably one of the more disgusting things that I have ever seen!!!0

In the book eat this not that he suggest that you eat pork bacon instead of turkey as the turkey bacon contains alot of sodium. I thought turkey was healthier but guess not.0 -

I would also use reg bacon and it taste much better
