Hi all, I just heard about this website and want to find friends that are busy working on their goals to lose a substantial amount of weight...or have lost a substantial amount.

there is also a group for people needing to lose 100+ pounds
they will do a roll-over when that thread reaches max messages (500 I think).

I have about 100 lbs too lose, which is a significant amount of weight as well. The best way to look at it is one pound at a time! Small goals work best. Don't stress trying to lose 200 lbs. Instead try and lose 5. Then when you reach that goal, 5 more! It's definitely more uplifting since you focus on what you have done, not what you have left to do. Good luck!0

I'll send you a friend request. I joined MFP in January of this year looking to lose about 120 pounds and I am down 87 pounds so far. Here's a before and current photo of me and hope it's gives others hope and inspiration. It does me to look at how far I've come. Still 40 more to go! We can all do this together.

i started out with 206 to lose a month ago. now i'm at 185 to lose. feel free to add me if you want.
it's quite a journey, but if you track what you eat, exercise(no matter how much or how little at first) and just remember, it's going to take time, you'll get there!
