I currently eat either 6oz portion of rotisery chicken or a 6oz piece of salmon. I'm looking for a low carb veggie to add to my meal. Possibly red bell pepper or maybe turning it all into a salad. What you guys think?

I like a pretty wide variety of veggies...outside of root vegetables, most vegetables are low carb

I'm on a high protein low carb diet of about 1200 calories. Not including drinking 1/2pint of vodka every night..... So gotta make sacrifices

Why as a 34 year old male are you eating like a very tiny and elderly woman? 1500 calories a day is generally seen as the minimum for a man to get the nutrition he needs in a day. Most men can lose just fine eating around 2000 calories. 1200 calories is the minimum for women, and that is assuming they eat actual nutritious food. So you are not only eating less than a man should, but are substituting 1/2 pint of nutrient free vodka for much needed nutritious food.

You shouldn't sacrifice your health. Eat at least 1500 calories.

I eat a very healthy shake every morning. 18 shake thing with a lot of Greek yogurt and almond milk and half an avacodo and blueberries, plus a tbs of coconut oil if needed. And a mens daily health supplement(i don't know if u guys can look at what my daily plan is, so I'm typing it out here like a newb)

Lunch a pack of tuna plus either 1/4 cup pistachios or another tablespoon of coconut oil.

Dinner ussaly the salmon or chicken plus whatever snacks like nuts.

Then at least 4 bottles of water with tbsp apple cider vinegar.

I'm trying to learn so any advice is needed. And don't be nice

Well.. you don't need the vinegar, it's not actually doing anything.

You need to eat more. Period. 1200 is too little and you are already using half of that calorie goal towards alcohol.
You are risking your lean muscle, no amount of protein is going to stop your body from eating itself on a 600 calorie diet. You risk organ failure, hair loss and tons of other health issues outside of your liver from the vodka.

in his defence i believe hes drinking that on top of his 1200....if not we have a whole different problem...

I scrolled up and re-read but.. you know... this 150 second post thing and if you're off by 1 second... im glad this is my last day for this LOL

Okay well if i am mistaken in the calories, 1200 IS still too little and i stand by the rest of my statement in eating more and making sure you aren't risking lean muscle loss.

yeah the 1.50 thing has me going crazy i have it till the 25th >.> makes me mad if you try to speak to early it resets -.-

I also agree you need to eat more and definatly continue your efforts to drink less. Maybe try drinking every other day only? Eat a bit more nutrient dense foods on off days. wean your drinking back its very important. You dont need to go crazy and cut it right out itd likely fail, But small tricks really do help.

I eat kiwis, pumpkin pottage, oranges, bananas, 'chinese' homemade meals with chicken or some yummy sauce over, peas pottage, noodle soups, corn and peas with peas sausages (virsle) and ketchup, eggs, potatos with sweet and spicy dressing... you have a lot to choose from. Pineaples are the best, but expensive...

Ohhh my bad should have been more clear. I eat around 1250 calories of nutritious food and then drink the vodka at night before bed time. So I'm ingesting about 1800 calories a day of very healthy foods and fats with tons of protein. I was wondering why I got attacked so hard. But I'm listening to everything.

    I also run about 2 to 3 miles 3 times a week

I agree with the previous posts about needing to eat more but, to answer your original question, this was really tasty: https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2901662/cauliflower-stuffed-peppers You grate the cauliflower into 'rice' and use that to stuff bell peppers. I added some diced courgette (if you're in the US, I think that's called zuccini?) and it was still low calorie and low carb. Instead of using ghee, I spritzed my peppers with One Cal oil instead and they turned out fine. I'll definitely be making this again.

See this is what I needed to hear. I'm adding a chicken salad before dinner with bell peppers and broccoli

    I really like this app

well the vodka is empty calories basically... so 1250 in food = too little for a man. Then on top of it you are running and burning more calories under that 1500. Eat more food.

    This

Also, to be clear, people are not "attacking" you, they are expressing concern that you are eating too little food for a 34 year old male. At the very least eat 1500 calories of food before you start counting in your vodka.

DON'T drink alcohol before bedtime. Rest is when you burn the majority of your body fat......................except when you have alcohol in your body. Alcohol cannot be stored, so it has to be metabolized. During that time NO OTHER ENERGY SOURCE IS BURNED. So fat burning isn't going on. This ain't BS, it's truth.

Mike, do you also log your exercise and eat back (some of) the calories? If not, you should be eating 50-75% of what you earn from running. If you're using MFP on a laptop / PC, click the Home button and take a look at the number it shows you - that'll be the net figure for the day, taking into account what you've eaten plus exercise, and you need THAT to be at around 1500. If you're using the app on a phone, scroll down to the bottom and click the Nutrition button. Look at Calories. You want your Net Average to be 1500. I've changed mine to give me a Week View rather than a Day, and I aim for my Net Average to be at (or not much more than) my Goal on a weekly basis. That takes into account nights out / not going to the gym every day.
