Chemically, fructose is fructose, whether it comes from HFCS or an apple. The difference is in what other nutrients you get along with it.2

HFCS is a man-made franken-food.Its fattening and bad for your Health.Avoid at all costs. Eat cane sugar.1

I avoid it because that much sugar simply doesn't do anything for me except make me fat.2

I avoid because I prefer calories that are of more benefit nutritionally and no longer crave sugar.0

It depends. It's not something I get my knickers in a twist over, but what I do find is that they tend to make foods more calorie dense, so I tend to stay away from really sweet processed foods unless I can work them into my daily calories without feeling deprived the rest of the day.0

Completely wrong.
HFCS is either 55% Fructose and 42% Glucose or 42% Fructose and 53% Glucose. Cane sugar is about 50/50 Fructose to glucose, pretty much the same thing as HCFS. It's not franken-food; that's just fearmongering. Do you think that cane sugar grows in neat little 5 pound bags on trees somewhere? It has to be processed, therefore it's also man made. It's not inherently fattening, eating more calories than you need is fattening. Unless you have a medical reason to not eat sugar, It's not bad for your health in the amounts most people ingest.
