1 year anniversary. Ladies, how am I doing?

Cooking dinner at our table, setting it very neatly and pretty. Opening to our apt door, pink rose petals (signifying joy and appreciation) to our bedroom. Dressed in a tie, I have FINALLY written her something. This part I know sounds extremely cliche, but if you knew the background....

I am a full time musician (we are about to be signed) and yet in the year we've been together I have a complete block at writing for her. in my teens and early twenty's I wrote songs for girls all the time. With her, it's been incredibly like having a velvet glove on. I couldn't quite do it. Now I have. So I'm going to time it when I hear the door, and just play lightly until the pedals lead her to me. Play her the song, give her the other dozen roses I got (one rose for every month) and give her the card I put a lot of time into. Dinner afterwards.

I know she'll like it. What about the outside world, what do you think?

EDIT: I guess I mean, what can I add?

sounds perfect to me! i know if my boyfriend did that for me, i'd probably pass out from shock lol. she sounds like a lucky girl. have a great anniversary!
  • Add burning candles or spray some cologne around, that way whenever she smells that particular scent, it reminds of her of your gorgeous night!

 Wow - I'm impressed!!! Sounds like you have put a lot of thought in to it. My bf and I have been together for over 8 years.....I used to give cards and little gifts but it was never reciprocated (sp??) so I just stopped. He's so not a romatic/gifty type guy. Congratulations and good luck with your evening - I'm sure it will be perfect!

Very sweet! My 3 yr wedding anniversary is in a couple weeks and my hubs asked if he could buy a new boat rod for an upcoming fishing trip and my gift will be the fish (which I would prepare.) I'm the luckiest girl in the world.

I would not dare add anything to that perfect night!
It sounds amazing, and she will love it..that is an amazingly
romantic thing to do for her to celebrate your time together.

Women love romance, so you can't go wrong no matter what,
with a night like that planned. Enjoy one another through good and
bad days, never forget what drew you to her in the first place, sometimes
we forget about that as years go on.

Happy Anniversary, and Best Wishes :flowerforyou:

If you'd be so sweet to all your wives, I'm in! :P

Sounds perfect! She's going to love it! My husband is very much not the romantic type. However, on rare occassions, he finds a way to surprise me.

Sounds brilliant to me. The fact that you have wrote her a song I think if it was me I would be most impressed by.

If you really want to make her swoon, CLEAN THE HOUSE, including the bathroom spotless. This from experience.
