Hey everyone, I just joined last week . Hopefully this could help me . I'm suffering with my health and my weight gain . Everything I eat makes me bloated and frustrated. I started crying last night , I ate a bowl of cereal, a nutri gran bar . Around midnight, my stomach grew , I was so bloated I look pregnant. I'm so tired of this . I wish it can go away.

Have you tried eating fruits and veggies instead? Personally I feel bloated after eating breads etc so I don't eat them often. Yogurt, eggs, chicken breast, fruits and veggies are my go to, unless I don't care if I feel bloated... also drink lots of water!

Look into fructose malabsorption and/or gluten or dairy allergies. All of those are known to cause bloating that can be quite painful. And all of them can be tested for.

If it's really that bad, it's time to see a doctor. Food should not be causing what sounds like a fairly severe reaction and we (as a group of people who, apart from perhaps a couple, aren't medical professionals) really can't help over the internet.

Every body seems to be bloated these days. It's like the new in thing to be.

Not aimed at you OP, just a general observation.

I would venture to guess it's because food allergies to things like gluten and dairy have increased significantly and those two allergies alone can cause significant and painful bloating. Fructose malabsorption is also on the rise. It's actually very common for people to be diagnosed with celiac (after an intestinal biopsy) when in reality they have fructose malabsorption. I have a friend that has been dealing with "celiac" for 15+ years now and just found out she was completely misdiagnosed. She had fructose malabsorption and she does not have celiac at all. Apparently, it's a lot more common then people think. So people that get diagnosed with celiac that don't get rid of the bloating after going 100% GF should look into FM b/c of the commonality of that error in diagnosis. It's also not uncommon to have BOTH celiac and FM. So it can be a difficult thing to figure out what is causing bloating. Overall, I would agree with your bloating observation.

My niece was feeling this way too. She went gluten free . It has really helped her. She is 30 and never had a gluten allergy but she says she feels so much better.

I used to get really painful bloating after eating mu lunch of a sandwich and apple. Stopped the apple and the bloating stopped - bread does affect some people but its not automatically the cause. Book a dr appointment and keep a food diary.

I suggest seeing a doc, nutritionist and food allergist.

If you suspect you have a food allergy, cut it for two weeks and see how you feel. I think the main culprits are dairy and bread. Only cut one at a time so you know which one.

    Fruits and veggies, getting enough?
