Cheat meals

What's a better approach? To eat clean for like 6 days or so and allow yourself a cheat day? Or eat a flexible diet, like IIFYM? I know everybody's different but I'm just curious to see what's worked for most people!

I just do flexible dieting. If I fit things I want through the week then I can stay in my calorie goal. I used to do the cheat meal thing and I managed to wipe out my weekly deficit every time.

I am pretty flexible. I don't even know what is clean anymore anyway so rather than stress out about what fits what label, I just eat what I want within my goals.

Eating clean is so 10 years ago get with the times! Jk jk jk I'm so gonna get bashed for that joke. It just seems that more people are flexible dieting these days, which is what I do also. I think clean eating can be turned into an all or nothing mindset and can cause binging issues, while iifym is more flexible and you can satisfy your cravings easier. Everyone's different and what matters most is what works for YOU mentally and physically.

I eat clean and under my daily calorie goal every day. Had a few "cheat days" where I had a Delmonico steak one day and Chipotle steak bowl (700cal) the following week. Both days I met my macros and calorie goal. Looking forward to my first REAL cheat meal on Thursday for March Madness lol everything in moderation tho

I used to have cheat day. Now I do cheat"meal" once or twice a week depending on my week.
