I've had injuries in the past from weight training and defo don't want anymore so i want incorporate it in to my routine but I don't know when I've read articles about doing it before & after workout. Could someone give me advice on this???

Do a dynamic warmup before and static stretching after.0

yep what lorrpb stated. and also lot of people think stretching BEFORE workout is key but sometimes it can be more of an avenue for injury than just working out. Use a foam roller if you have one POST workout and really get the knots and kinks out of the muscle group worked for that day, and just regular stretches that we learned in gym class in grade school, toe touches etc they all help increase mobility and overall elasticity to ensure less muscle tendon tension and more mobility and range of motion when lifting.0

How do you know your injuries were from a lack of mobility? Doing random stretches won't necessarily prevent injuries.
Was your lifting form checked by a good personal trainer?
