Those 50,000 calorie recipies that they post on Facebook that I'd like to try. What do you hate??

Make it fit. Nothing wrong with making it, building it in the recipe builder, eating some, freezing the rest (if possible) and not depriving yourself.8

Along those lines, when I find an awesome recipe on Pinterest and it's got some wacky ingredients that are impossible to find or take 50 million steps to make!17

I hate when people ask questions(on a forum, email, facebook/social media etc) and wait for an answer that they could have received in 1 second by typing the exact same thing in to google.62

When people post their entire day on social media as if Facebook etc is a personal diary!
"Oh my god, what a hard day, I ate breakfast, went to work, walked the dog and then cooked dinner for the family, now to get into bed with a glass of wine and watch TV"

When the weather won't make up its mind. I don't like bundling up in the morning, dying from the heat in the day, and then having to bundle up again by evening. UGH.5

When people make a healthy alternative of a recipe, but it's even more calories.

I'm with you on those recipes.
The worst for me are the 'less than 400 calories per serving' recipes that turn up being a tiny serving. Like one cup of mac'n cheese. Who only eats one cup of mac'n cheese as a main dish?Facebook.. period. deactivated

I hate those recipes that call for using a box of cake mix or that call for a store bought pie crust. Are people so inept that they can't mix a few ingredients together? If you don't care enough about taste to make a pie crust, you might as well buy a pie from the bakery.26

There's a range of "cookbooks" here that are 4 ingredient recipes. I'm sure there was literally one that included a pack of pasta, and a jar of sauce as 2 of 4 ingredients.9 -
I hate when people say, "make it fit". Yeah, because the two bites that "fit" are going to totally be satisfying aren't they? Sometimes you either have to just bite the bullet and ruin your whole day and pick up again the next day, or just don't make the absurdly high calorie recipes they post here. When it comes to some delicious looking desert that would only "fit" if I had some meager thumbnail sized portion I say no thanks. I would rather not be teased with a bite.35

People who use headphones at the grocery store (?!) & while driving (!!). And the ones who max the volume, so I get to hear their crummy music, too.3

I get tired of getting asked if I'm on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter etc. etc. No, no, no, no!

I live by this saying. If I want something high calorie like my yummy homemade frosted chocolate chips brownies and ice cream I plan for it.
I look at my day and I'd either work for some of it (add an some extra cardio) or I will eat a little less or fill up on higher volume foods. Banking calories also works, but I usually save that for my pizza on Friday nights.
It's the best of all worlds for me. I get to eat exactly what I want and I don't gain because I was able to fit it into my day and my calories all balanced out.
Holding out on what I want usually lead to binges, so I had to figure out how I can eat things I want, but still lose/maintain. Planning, portion control and moderation.
I agree with you though, I would not want to eat 2 bites of something tasty. I'd rather not have it.8 -

Avoiding micro portions is what prevents a lot of binging and falling off the wagon. That tiny portion always leads me to pigging out.8 -

And a "dash" of soy sauce could be anything from a teaspoon full to a full on tidal wave. And there are times that google won't help at all, it gives you different weights for a cup measurement.

People who don't understand how the ads work on sites like MFP, that complain that MFP is sabotaging them because they get an ad for McDonalds or Dairy Queen...13

I am American and I agree with this... All recipes should be written in metric measurements so much easier to weigh solids. FWIW, at least at my old job as a pastry chef the recipes were in metric form and we weighed everything solid.11 -

These are measurements for volume.
1 cup is 8 oz
3/4 cup is 6 oz
1/2 cup is 4 oz
1/3 cup is 2 1/3 oz
1/4 cup is 2 oz
Then you get into Tablespoons and teaspoons which are 1 oz and less.
Some people like to use measuring cups and some like to weigh. I prefer to use a food scale and weigh out everything in grams. I only use measuring cups if my scale is broken. I will add, sometimes depending on the density of a certain item the weight may not be 8 oz for a cup.
