I gained 5 pounds I feel very fat id anyone has any inspirational stories or some motivation I would appreciate it

    "feeling fat" should be your motivation...5'7" and 140 isnt fat though...

    You aren't fat, you're at a healthy weight. If you want to lose, it's going to take some time.

    I agree you are at a healthy weight so if you aren't happy it sounds like you may need to work on your body composition (by resistance training/weight lifting) and your perception of yourself.

    Eating at maintenance and trying to recomp might be good for you.

    Then you likely need to eat at maintenance and do some weight training of some sort (lifting, bodyweight, etc.) to build muscle. The weight is fine, the problem is likely that it's all fat instead of muscle.
