Is it ok to expect to lose weight everyday whether you weigh yourself 7 days a week or not. Can eating too little affect weight lost?

Obsessive weighing will disappoint you. Too many factors go into how much you weigh on a given day. Once a week is what I do

Weighing everyday keeps me accountable!!! At the start I weighed myself everyday and lost 2.9lbs. I believe the day of the week tells you whether going down or up.

That is not a realistic expectation...body weight fluctuates naturally...you're going to have natural fluctuations in water as well as varying degrees of inherent waste in your system.

Not always. With me it's quite random, and daily fluctuations can amount to 2-3 lbs or more.

Daily weighing is fine if you understand that and won't beat yourself up over an apparent gain. Just keep under your calorie limit, and the trend in your weight will be a downhill slope. Just not necessarily from one day to the next.

Can the day of the week or month make your weigh go down or up.

Why would the day of the week matter? Unless for example you overeat a lot on the weekends then yes, Monday's would be higher but just the day of the week itself no.

Day of the week? No. Day of the month? Only if you're female.

If you have a very regular menstrual cycle you may have a pattern. Are you talking calendar months or lunar months?

You will not lose weight every day, no matter how "good" you are. Use something like "happy scale" (an app) to see the trend over time.

I would say you will set you self up for disappointment if you expect to see a loss everyday it just won't happen. Weight can fluctuate daily it depends on what you've eaten the day before i.e. higher salt, if you are female time of the month, etc. I wouldn't say for example, I always see a loss on a Friday, it just doesn't work like that. There are weight trending apps you can use if you want to look at the overall trend

OP is male. I don't think he's got a regular menstrual cycle at all. :o

I weigh daily, but I do not expect to lose every day. Weight loss is not linear and there are many factors at play, including water retention, hormones, different speeds of digestion etc.

I confess - I remember OP from his last profile. He always has a lot of interesting theories about weight loss.
