Had to buy new smaller work out pants cause they were falling while I was running!!17

Last night I was out with friends and a guy I hadn't seen in a while lost it - he shouted "whoa!" when he saw me and then started whispering with my other friend about how good I looked!24

I'm back! What I mean is, I had a terrible week last week (TOM and possibly BED)....but I caught myself before I slid all the way back down the enormous weight loss hill. I evaluated what was going on, caught myself, held myself accountable, and got right back on track.
I know I mostly go on and on about falling off the wagon and getting back on, but this is an accomplishment that I am so proud of. I stopped myself before I gained back all the weight I've lost and then some! That has never happened.34 -
1. My shoes are too big. I thought y'all were crazy talking about feet shrinking, but it appears to be happening. PRAISE the lord for that because I had been wearing men's size 10.5... alas I am a lady.
2. A coworker didn't recognize me in my google account pic when she saw someone in the same google doc as her. She thought it was another (thinner) coworker. Nope, just me!
3. Talked about running with a male coworker and actually felt confident in my abilities, even though he can run a 6 minute mile as opposed to my 13 minute mile37 -
I've gotten 4 other ladies to buy NROLFW and start lifting! I'm so excited--I'm like a lifting evangelist!25

I did my C25k training yesterday, even though I'd just started my period and was feeling incredibly tired from it. Felt better afterwards, even if the runs were slow as a snail.25

I used to have to wear a body shaper underneath my sweaters so that when I reach for something my sweater doesn't hike up and show my belly. It's so liberating not having to wear a body shaper ALL the time now. I just fit into a Large sweater, and no body shaper...yeah!!

I needed steps today amd although it was raining still went for my walk.27

I realized I have made it to week 6 of C25K without quitting or repeating a week, this is despite the fact I have had a terrible nagging cold for the past 4 weeks! I can't wait to see how much easier it is to run once my sinuses close and I can actually breathe!
I also wore a pair of jeans to work today that (although a bit tight) fit for the first time in about 5 years.23 -
The new jeans I just bought a couple of weeks ago are getting loose. I also had TWO different co-workers tell me how great I look today and ask me what I'm doing to lose weight.22

I had to change my fitbit blaze band for the small one (I never thought I was 'big boned' but I suspect I might actually have a really small frame given the amount I have to lose still and that I can already wear a size 7 ring on my middle and index fingers and when I wrap my hand around my wrist my thumb can touch my middle finger or ring finger or pinkie and can very nearly touch my index finger (like 1/16" off). I'll need to contemplate what this might mean for my goal weight when I get closer).
Also, I'm wearing a pair of pants my sister outgrew. They were a little too tight when she gave them to me (wearable but not flattering at all) and now they look nice and are even slightly loose. I was so happy about this I pulled out the other three bottoms I'd been saving. It turns out I can also wear a pair of shorts she gave me last summer that were way too small. The other two pairs of pants are still a no go but much closer. I could technically wear the one but it would be painful to button and would look awful so another month and they should be perfect. The last pair I knew wouldn't fit but I've gone from barely getting them past my knees to being able to get them up to my hips so I'm counting it as a victory lol.23 -

Yes Ma'am!! I was a heavy beer drinker and carry almost all my weight in my stomach. This time around I've been doing an ab segment every workout and switched from beer to vodka sodas. My stomach has gone way down!!21 -
I can walk up stairs more and more easily. I'm up to eight flights now, without getting uncomfortably winded.20

Actually looked forward to my run today! Who am I? Also finished week 1 of C25K and scheduled my first session with my personal trainer. My wedding/honeymoon in 2 months has me all kinds of motivated!20

Just got home from presenting at an academic conference and had absolutely no concern about my appearance or clothes. I am not sure I have ever had that experience.35

Got up at 4:45am this morning to go to my bootcamp DESPITE me having taken the day off of work! I knew I was spending the weekend at my family's which usually involves lots of eating!
Also, packed workout clothes to make sure I at least get a walk in each morning this weekend!24 -
I saw someone else post about their resting heart rate earlier, and it made me curious about mine. According to my fitbit (which I realize isn't the most accurate, but I'm hoping it's at least close and somewhat reliable for mapping trends), my resting heart rate has dropped from the low-to-mid seventies down to 62 in the past month!18

Little over a month in and an inch and a half off my waist!17

Have been a little frustrated this week as the weight has been hovering at the same number or higher despite no changes to diet or exercise. However, as I am going on a trip, I thought I would do measurements before I left to keep me focused. I have lost 1/2 to an inch almost everywhere!!!! that is a super win and made me think all the work is not for nothing. YESSSSSSSS. Also, when I was trying things on to pack for the trip, it was because I needed to see if things were to big, not to tight. Really weird, but an awesome first time experience. And I ran 5 miles today.25

Bah! Am annoyed as only hit 38.3 mph down a hill today (I've previously got up to 40.3 mph down same hill) due to a head wind. I wish that these winds would just go away - they stopped me going out yesterday and made today's runs difficult.
Might have overdone the cycling today; did 16 miles this morning when I took my children to the session at the local track (I think that my toddler did 1.5 miles and my boys did three or four miles each). I'm not keen on cycling around an athletics track as 1) it's boring 2) it's not challenging and 3) it's boring. So I decided to do my usual run as well this afternoon, shame that the wind was against me most of the way. I turned left at one point (happily cruising along in top gear, middle ratio) and virtually stopped as the wind was so strong (had to hit it into bottom gear to get anywhere).
It was well worth the pain though (and my legs were burning up the hill from hell part two) as I saw banks covered in flowers (am going to take photos next time), a baby deer (guessing that it was born late last year) - I cycled by very slowly so's not to scare it off as I wanted to look at it; it had the most beautiful huge brown eyes - and some birds of prey. Cool stuff.
Found out that the gestation period of a roe deer is nine months - four months of no embryonic growth (the fertilised egg does not implant for four months) followed by five months of foetal growth). Fascinating, how nature deals with things - this delayed implantation means that the babies are born when the weather is supposed to be nice (!) and food is plentiful.
Also found out that it's easier to go up hills if you don't think about getting up the hill. Up until now I've been thinking "just to that twig there, just to that leaf there" etc - it makes it harder! Today I was slightly distracted, thinking about other stuff and I was up the hills before I'd realised. Still hard physically, but not so much mentally.
Total mileage today = 40.45 (cycling - 35.76 miles; walking - 4.69 miles).24
