Lowest amount of carbs/Fat

Hello,

I have lost nearly 1 1/2stone, gone down afew dress sizes but now my stomach is stuck while everything else still shrinks. 34inches for ages. 53yr old woman.
I go to the gym treadmill, weights, abs, legs. I have a trainer who has set programme so one day I do cardio, legs, weights and afew classes.
Eat 1200 cals, ignore what I do at the gym because the machines do nnot give a true reading.

I have just set the food has carbs 75g (don't eat alot of gluten 20g porriage oats)rest is veg. Protein 150g and fat 33g all healthy. Eat low fat yogurt, A2 protein milk, drink lots of herb teas and water.

My question is the carbs and fat is that enough or too low. I get conflicking adice in the web.

    You have to set an appropriate calorie goal for your height and weight first, and then log correctly so that you are sticking to it for real. What is your height and weight?

    Don't restrict yourself to certain foods. Don't divide foods into healthy and unhealthy, just eat whatever food you want but in responsible amounts, enough to provide you with everything you need, but not so much that you don't lose weight (or gain weight).

    Then you can look into macros. First investigate whether macros matter for you, and if they do, find out how to set them to fit your goals. But I can say without any insight into your particular situation, that 150 grams of protein is way too much, and 33 grams of fat is way too little. Always try the default settings for a while first. Then assess and adjust.

    Good chance your calories are too low - if you aren't following the MFP eat back exercise calories method then go to a TDEE calculator and set your goal that way. Remember the minimum goal this site gives you is 1200 + exercise calories and you are under cutting that.
    (Gym machines can be inaccurate but they are most likely more accurate than assuming zero calorie burn....)

    BTW you haven't mentioned your current bodyweight but whether 33g of fat is enough is very unlikely unless you are tiny.
    Remember fat doesn't make you fat and it's essential for good health. Going very low fat also isn't going to target your problem area.

    My weight is 119lbs, height is 5ft 1in. Out in my details in the goal section and it came up with 1200 cals, have tried what they reccomend, lost weight and my stomach ain't for moving. That is why I was re adjusting to carbs fat protein.

    But you aren't using the site as it's designed. Minimum goal is 1200 + exercise calories.
    The stomach is frequently the stubborn area that the fat comes off last. Fiddling with macros isn't going to change that.

    Your fat is too low and your protein is higher than needed.
    And more importantly your calories are too low, one outcome of that could be losing weight too quickly and losing lean mass as well as fat. In our 50's that's a really bad idea - far easier to keep your muscle than lose it and try to regain it later.

    You are quite short, but not overweight. Your stomach can't be very big with those stats, are you measuring your waist? If you want to continue to lose weight, you need patience. 1200 calories may be necessary, but eat back some of your exercise calories, and you have to be extra careful to get in sufficient nutrition and eat well so you don't get bored (and "forget", cheat, or just stop because you can't stand it any longer). Log meticulously.

    If you lose weight, you may see a reduction of your stomach. Your stomach won't be smaller because of your macro split. But a good macro split can make it easier to stick to your calories so you can continue to lose weight. You need to eat in a way that makes you stick to your calories (this is imperative). Prelog in your diary using foods you like, and tweak and adjust to hit your calories. You have to prioritize. More of one thing means less of another thing. Your goal is to feel satisfied, energized and happy, and have a normal weight body. A balanced diet will be a part in that. You will most likely end up with macros around these numbers: 70-90 grams of protein, 50-90 grams of fat, 80-110 grams of carb.
