I am ecstatic to finally be able to post my second success story! I started this journey in September 2016 and am halfway to my original goal of losing 100 pounds. As I've said on here before, I love seeing other people's progress, it keeps me motivated so I wanted to share mine too. I've tried and failed so many times that it's a little hard to believe I am truly making it happen this time. My Fitness Pal has helped so much along with the friends I've made at my gym. I struggle with binge and compulsive eating and am working hard to do the mental and emotional work it takes to keep those things under control as well as getting plenty of exercise. Feel free to add me as a friend, I love to see people's progress! Never give up

The two things that have helped me get this far are reading Geneen Roth's books "Breaking Free from Emotional Eating" and "Why Weight", they have helped me eat more mindfully and get out of the self criticism and restrictive diets that led me to balloon up to 254 pounds in the first place. The second thing is a gym membership! A good friend and I became workout buddies and it has made the process much more fun!
You just have to do it because you love yourself. You can do this!5 -
