Is anyone else using myfitnesspal to maintain and gain weight - other than for body building? Most people have trouble losing it, but there is a small bunch of us who actually need to gain weight! I am one of those, anyone else?
What are you eating habits like? Any vegetarians out there? Success stories from those who've used this app to help you gain weight?
Currently on a 2200 calorie diet and still not gaining.
Tips and advice appreciated!

Eat more.5 -
I'm also here to gain! I am very thin and I have a high metabolism so it's very hard for me to gain weight and extremely easy for me to lose weight. MFP it's help me a lot with making sure I'm hitting my calorie/macro goals4

If you aren't gaining on that amount, you need to gradually increase your calories until you are. Also you can check out this thread if you are having issues getting the cals in:
Are you a hard gainer, please read!3 -
constant growth is the goal EAT EAT EAT!!!!5

Eat more than you are currently, you will gain weight. Keep it simple, because it is.2

I am on weight gaining journey and have gained almost 10kgs till now. The calorie & food tracking feature is super helpful.
Apart from the usual big meals I keep eating every 1.5 or 2 hours. This single habit made a huge difference in reaching daily goals which eventually led to increased weight. I mostly ignore the quantity of food except when eating heavy or junk items. Some time later I will switch to healthy and vegetarian diet in distant future.
My daily goal is to eat 2600cals but miss sometime. Eating heavy on weekends compensate those missed cals.
Exercise & sleep is also. I do workout at gyms 4 to 5 time a week. A sound sleep of 7 hours is sufficient for me.
Feel free to check out my food dairy or add me.

Ive gone up and down the scale and recently been able to gain weight ie muscle and maintaining it. Yes its more to eating but its what you eat too that impacts your body. Trust me i went from 99lbs in 2012 to 140lbs in 2017. It takes time. Feel free to add me so excited for anyone else trying to gain weight3

I gained 12 pounds and hit a plateau after 3600 calories. So than I went the following week to 3750 and nothing. I rose it the next week after that to 4000 ish and guess what?...I dropped half a pound
So feeling so discouraged im going back down to 3250 where I hit my biggest gain, but the diet was so clean and easier to control before it just got dirty as hell.
So here I go again on Week 7 Day 1.
I've never considered myself a bodybuilder. I'm just a fitness fanatic who loves wearing form fit clothing.
But this is as far as I could go for now. I hit the 180 at 3600 and been stuck since. My routine still the same averaging 900 calories an hour give or take 50 calories. (Calculated with polar H7 Bluetooth/polar beat). So I just don't know. I'm throwing in the towel and buying weight gain powder. Just a bunch of sugars I promised myself I wouldn't do. Blah!
Sorry needed to rant still pissy about today's weigh-in.1 -
I'm here to gain weight too. I've always been thin, and a recent drop in weight made it get pretty noticeable. Would be good to get some friends that are also trying to gain weight instead of lifting/bulking etc3

I'm looking to gain too! Have always been thin and hate how much people comment on it. So have decided to do something about it!1

I am definitely looking to gain more weight! trying to hit 200 lbs with in the next year and a half - I weigh 150 lbs right now! any tips are appreciated. I hit the gym 5 days a week, and have a 3200 calorie eating regiment.2

I'm trying to gain too and want to go veggie. Finding it really hard. I eat lots but obviously not eating the right things.0

I can relate to this I've always been about cutting weigh since I was a teen hints being a boxer weight was what mattered then. Now working out for almost a year hitting my own blocks and walls but for "us" it's just simple really man eat eat eat! I never changed my diet for the first 8 months I ate like I did just when I got hungry but I pegged out around 170 on the scale from 141. I use this app mostly to scan and keep track of my protein and carbs. But I have it set up to the max for gaining on here I workout 6-7 days a week mostly weights. I didn't realize how much I wasn't eating and that was the problem. Average day a few weeks ago was about 2300 calories now I eat over 4000 and it's working some days I push to eat more but it's around 4000 for now and in 3 weeks I'm weighing low 180s on empty. So if you want to gain weight it's only as hard as making yourself eat more. Hope this helps1

Decided I REALLY need to hop back onto the weight gain train1
-
Like someone said earlier - eat more. 2200 is cutting levels. 4k+
Also - rest and recovery is needed. You can spend too much time in the gym. Consider a 3 or 4 day split for bulking.2 -
I'm here to gain weight, which is definitely hard as a runner. MyFitnessPal has me at 2,700 calories a day to gain 1-2 pounds a week, however, when I exercise I need even more. Definitely hard to reach my daily allowance everyday. Would love to view others meal plans if that's okay!1

1 cup of rice every breakfast lunch and dinner will also help you to gain weight2

Weight on the up following the apps guide to cals required each day, and my trainer keeps me in check.0

U should ...try Apetamin syrup ..n check its reviews ...0 -
I keep seeing a common thread with these topics... "I don't have appetite", "I'm not hungry"... etc. If you are trying to bulk you often have to eat when you don't really want to. You have to force yourself to consume the calories - it's no longer about pleasure eating. Eat moar - and if you you can't do it on regular food - consider supplements. If you trust labdoor and think all bulking supplements suck - then design your own. Chocolate milk, banana, peanut-butter and a couple of tablespoons of olive oil in a blender will do the trick.0
