It's pretty depressing sometimes, doing the right thing day in day out, saying no to drinks, no to the pizza, cooking something healthy while hubby eats a schnitzel and chips, being good and virtuous and committed when secretly in your heart (even after 4 years of doing this *kitten*) you'd much rather sit on the couch in your pj's and eat a whole pizza and a tub of icecream.1 -

Successes / struggles this week: Made my goal! Had something very stressful happen in my family this week and really wanted to eat to comfort myself. I pushed through it somehow and settled for a 4-pack of Nutter Butters. Success even after going out for dinner two nights, I did not give up. Oh, I wanted that plate of french fries but said no. I have a luncheon to go to with some women in my family this week and there is going to be pie involved. Some days are just harder than others and you don't want to offend the cook. I have decided to have half a piece and fit it into my calories for the day. It helps to have a plan, or it does help me anyway. I plan my meals ahead of time and log them...then stick to it. My husband flies by the seat of his pants and still manages to lose some weight a week, but that doesn't work for me. I am just happy he is trying with me so I am not going to discourage whatever is working for him! Anyway...everyone have a great week!5 -

Aloha, I think it has a lot to do with how you feel about the experience. I don't know how much you ate during that one meal but you will work it out. I am really strict about my diet until my weigh in day. Not saying I go completely crazy but I do enjoy fudge, breads, and so on....I know I won't have to look at the scale for another week so I hang on to the weight loss numbers from that morning and press on.2 -

Successes/Struggles: Saturday was a tough day - was at a family function and didn't count a calorie and I think it slowed my weight loss down for the week I weighed in on Friday and was 1.6 less than today. Oops! I know it was mainly water weight because I did some math last night on what I ate and figured I went over my calories by about 1500. Definitely not enough for true weight gain. Anyway. This month overall was a great success for me and I'm going to push for the same result in April!3 -
