I have a goal to only eat while sitting. I never realized how much I eating while standing up! I feel like every time I reflect back I realize I ate standing up! Anyone have tips to help me break this habit?
Thanks in advance!

Whether you sit or stand to eat, the goal is to eat less overall for weight loss. One of the best ways to eat less is to keep your hands busy consistently.

I guess it depends on where the issue occurs. If it is in your own house put a note in the kitchen.

I do think it is a good goal to have. I find that if I stand in the kitchen and snack it is so easy to grab "just one more thing" vs portioning out a good snack, putting things away, and going to sit at the table to eat.

Sitting down to eat is one of the principals Beck uses in her book The Beck Diet Solution. The goal is that sitting forces you to look at what you're eating so you become more mindful. Writing yourself a note and putting it on the counter or cupboard or wherever you'll see it can help. I have found this to be a very effective tool. It's hard to ignore munching or what you're putting in your mouth when you have to find a place to sit. The note for a few days is what got me in the habit the easiest.
