Recently diagnosed--type 2

Hi. I was just diagnosed with type 2 last week after a physical. My A1c was 6.5 and my non fasting glucose was 112. Not being told to check sugar yet...prescribed metformin which I haven't started yet and want a second opinion. Anxiety has also flared up...probably due to the diagnosis and uncertainty. Looking forward to learning more here and reducing my weight and eating healthy and getting more exercise.

    You can add me to your friends list. My husband has had type 2 for most of his life and I have a slew of problems as well. I'm on my second go round with this site and was pretty successful the first time. Hopefully this time it sticks. :)
