There's a cosplay event in October I will be attending.

Since my leg has fully healed and I can exercise a little bit again (carefully) I'd like to go from my remaining 85kg to around 70.
That would be my ideal weigth. It is what I used to be atleast, back when I only had 10% fat...
This will offcourse be achieved with exercise along with this calories diet. Since I want to gain some muscle aswell.

Do you guys think this would be a realistic goal? :) since I still have 7 months do accomplish this.

  • If you lose one and a half to two lbs a week that would be safely and realistically achievable.

yes, thank you. :) I have the calorie counter set up the way that would be achieved. :) I just hope it will actually work, it'll probably take alot of cardio next to just eating "right". :) Thanks for the reply!

Hey. So your looking at losing 0.5kg (1.1lbs) per week for thirty weeks, to give you a total loss of 15kg (33lbs), is this correct ? If it is then I think that is a perfectly achievable & sensible goal.

""Most people don’t become overweight in a short period of time, and although it’s possible to lose weight quickly through crash diets and relentless exercise, the safest and healthiest way to lose weight is slowly, over time. Losing weight too fast can be detrimental to your overall health and damaging to your lean mass, or muscle"" from http://www.livestrong.com/article/347924-happens-muscle-lose-weight-fast/

I believe this to be true, slow & steady is best. To avoid muscle loss during weight loss programs exercise is essential. It is possible in some circumstances that you may have to actually eat more if doing a lot of exercise while dieting.

My advice, treat the numbers on MFP carefully at the start until you are confident they are working for you. Calculating calorie burn & calories eaten is subject to errors in lots of ways. Don't get stuck on a food and exercise routine and discover after 10 weeks that it isn't working. Also early losses may be offset by periods of no loss, changing eating & exercise routine can prevent your body from becoming accustomed, beware of eating back calories on the MFP calculations.

Yes this is absolutely correct, thank you!
I have never really done anything else than exercise, apart from the last few years.
So switching up my routines at home won't really be an issue. I will probably reach my goal a lot earlier, but I like to set challenges of which I am certain I can achieve in the set timespan.

    Thank you for the motivation!
