Obviously nine litres of water is too much - but limit yourself to 1.2 litres?

Wow. I would get kidney pain if I only drank 1.2 Liters a day. I try to get 3-4 liters in when I can, but water is about all I drink throughout the day.

 I think that all the time on these boards. Even crazier to me is how many people actually know, down to the liter/ounce how much they drink. I just never knew so many people were obsessed with water intake. It's a hot topic in this neighborhood though.

If u only drink water most of the time you really should try alkaline water, it helps with weight loss by getting rid of the acidic weight in your body, also it 6x more hydrating than normal water. It is the best & healthiest water on earth, they have been using ionized water in Japan & Korea for almost 30 years as a medical device to treat all types of ailments.

The machine i have is the KYK Generation 2 from www.kykusa.com and they actually have it on sale for 25% off right now, i paid $1695.00 for it, i just ordered replacement filters last night and seen it is on sale for $1496.00, i lost 44lbs in the last 4 months using this app (which is the best) and by drinking from my KYK G2.

    Good luck

I'd just be delighted if I could put down the diet coke for a glass of water a little more often! My will-power is lacking these days. I'm super impressed by the water chugging!

I dehydrate quite easily. I've been a big water drinker for a long time now. In high school, I hated it. I suppose it's an acquired taste.

Without paying attention, I can easily drink 8 glasses a day. But I aim for much more than that, so I use MFP to track my water. At least 12 glasses a day. More if I exercised that day. (My brain doesn't compute liters all that well. I'm used to ounces. A glass is 8 ounces.)

I actually know someone who drank too much water and is now in need of a kidney transplant and is very sick all the time. I, myself, very rarely drink 8 glasses. Usually I get to 4-5 glasses a day. My weight loss is fine and I never feel thirsty.

I wonder if you off-set your water in-take with wine, if all would stabilize.

I kid! I kid! Do you know how much he/she was drinking???

I'm not sure about the wine thing...I prefer gin....and it seems to up my water intake for the day after I drink it.......weird... lol

She was drinking 3-5 liters a day depending on the day for a couple of years. When she got sick her Dr. asked her how much water she was drinking and when she said that he actually said, "Are you CRAZY?!?!?!" I guess her kidneys couldn't handle the excess water for that extended period of time.

When I asked my Dr. about how much to drink. He gave me the "as long as your urine is pale yellow to clear and your not thirsty, that's enough.' line. So 4 cups a day does that for me. But that's just my personal experience.

You may kid. I'm all for it! And I buy the double-sized bottles of wine. And I have one huge wine glass that I drink it in. That way, I don't have to get up as often for a refill.

But really, from what I've read, it would be very difficult to drink too much water unless you were a marathon trainer or something. I'm not worried. My 112 ounces a day are just fine.
