5 day water diet

I am trying a 5 day water diet I heard they are really good and you can benefit a lot so today is my day 1 has anyone tried and water diets I'd so how did u like it?

Unless you have only 1 or 2 pounds to lose a 5 day water diet is pretty much worthless. Even then, 1 or 2 pounds isn't even noticeable.
Eat less - move more. Losing weight AND keeping it off requires some kind of permanent changes. Do you plan on using waters fasts (here and there) to manage your weight forever?1 -

I'm assuming this involves only drinking water for five days? BAD IDEA, unless recommended (and closely monitored by) a physician ...

A 5-day water diet is a good idea if you want to burn muscle and end up malnourished. Fasting recommendations for retention of muscle are no longer than 20 hours, which is why intermittent fasting protocols typically utilize 16 hour approaches.
You will lose a lot of weight on a 5 day water fast, but the majority of it will be lean muscle tissue and a smaller proportion of fat. Unless you have a medical reason to do so and are under the supervision of your doctor, extreme deficits of over 30% are not recommended. If you are not careful, you will do serious damage to your metabolic rate and your general health as well, and are likely to end up with an eating disorder.
The general rule of thumb is that the same diet you use to lose fat should be the one that you can maintain for the rest of your life because that is how results are maintained long after the dieting period is over. Consuming only water for the rest of your life is a good way to die of starvation, so I suggest you find something sustainable and (healthy) and try to stick with it the best you can.1 -
Hey Everyone. I drink a gallon of water a day. The first week of doing it i lost 3 pds and kept it off. I probably ate less hence the weight loss. I did not fast. Now it's just a habit. It took about 3 weeks to get used to drinking that much.0

So I am confused: is she advocating a water fast or just consuming more water?0 -

I was just sharing my experience. I did not fast so I guess just drink more water. My goal was just to drink a gallon of water a day to see if it would help me lose weight and it did.0
